The Meskill Family Veterans Scholarship for Design & Production

Scholarship benefitting honorably discharged veterans (Navy, Marine Corps, Army and Air Force) studying in the School of Design and Production with preference to veterans pursuing a BFA in the study of Lighting Design or Lighting Technology.

Established by The Meskill Family Trust in 2020 to provide financial support for veterans at the University of North Carolina Scholl of the Arts studying Design and Production. The Meskill Family Trust was established by Gerry V. Meskill, Captain, USN (Ret) and his wife, Ronda R. Meskill. Gerry V. Meskill was a long-time lover of theatre having grown up in Southern Connecticut with an uncle who took him into NYC to see shows on a regular basis. He passed this love on to his family and witnessed the graduation from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts of his son Michael Meskill, USN Veteran (D&P ’96) and daughter-in-law Laurel Hardenburgh Meskill (Music ’96).
