Melinda McConnell Endowed Scholarship

Melinda McConnell is a philanthropist and an ardent supporter of the arts and education. She serves on several boards and has led numerous fund raising campaigns for nonprofit organizations. John is the CEO Emeritus of Wake Forest University Medical Center and has previously served on the board of the Arts Council for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County. He and Melinda were the 2013 co-chairs of the Art Council’s 2013 Annual Campaign, "The Arts: Enriching Your Life Every Day,’’ and met the campaign goal of $2.SlM. They both believe strongly in the role of the arts to nurture and enhance the quality of life within a community.
