Larry Leon Hamlin and Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin/Winston-Salem Urban League Endowed Scholarship Fund

Scholarship supporting students in the School of Design and Production and the School of Drama with preference given to students who will increase economic or cultural diversity on campus.

The Fund recognizes the artistic vision of the late Larry Leon Hamlin and his wife, Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin in establishing the National Black Theatre Festival and North Carolina Black Repertory Company. The Hamlins’ vision is responsible for encouraging and nurturing artistic talent and young artistic talent from across the country. It is in this spirit that the scholarship assistance is awarded to a young student at UNCSA.
