Julian Eubank came to the School of the Arts during the first year of D&P in the fall of 1968 and majored in Scenic Design and Technical Direction, graduating in the spring of 1972. Julian feels that the School of the Arts catapulted him deep into his professional career in the entertainment industry. Through faculty connections, he became the Technical Director for the Goodspeed Opera House and a Layout Carpenter at Design Associates Scenic Studios. From there, he went on to opportunities such as working on more than two dozen Broadway Shows and for the Metropolitan Opera. Eubank designed scenery for more than 50 shows in theaters in various regions of the country and worked on national tours, TV, films, award shows, trade shows, and museums. He also taught Stagecraft and Scenic Design at Mercer County Community College, and the graduate-level course Sound Technology at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. As President of Eubank Inc., a design and manufacturing company of motorized stage machinery for private theaters, presentation rooms, etc., he designed for such clients as Celine Dion, Arsenio Hall, Bob Seger, Dun & Bradstreet, AT&T, and Sprint. Eubank inc. was an Alliance Partner with the Lutron Ultimate Home Theater Experience exhibit at Epcot Center in Disney World. Eubank Inc. was on the Philadelphia 100 list of fastest-growing companies in the Delaware Valley for two consecutive years.
