Established by Dr. and Mrs. James H. Semans in 1994 to honor of the former Governor and First Lady of North Carolina.
Impact
I have dedicated so much effort to my art and it means so much to me to be supported. This scholarship makes the costs of ballet, particularly of pointe shoes, worth it. The arts can be very expensive with very little in return for the artists which is people like you are so important –Third Year Undergraduate Recipient
