Frank and Gary Endowed Scholarship

A scholarship benefitting gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender students, or students who have demonstrated support for GLBT issues through participation in or organization of events or groups dedicated to the support of gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender issues.

Frank Benedetti and Gary Trowbridge, lifelong partners, have fought for GLBT civil rights all of their adult lives. Having met when they were both age 24, they spent their first thirty years together in Atlanta, Georgia, before being transferred to Winston-Salem where they plan to spend the remainder of their lives. They have endowed this scholarship as a living legacy to their lives and their love to help ease the lives of GLBT students or their supporters.
